The Germantown Historical Society is in the process of putting together a sequel to it’s popular photo history book, Germantown: The Early Years. The new book will track the development of the Town and Village of Germantown in the 20th Century. To do that, we need many more photos and stories than we currently have in our collection.
Photos that include the following are greatly encouraged to be turned in. All photos will be scanned from digital copies and quickly returned. As much information as you have about the photos is appreciated. Include the following with your photos: Date, ID and people in it, Place, Additional information about photo, Contact person, phone, email.
Photos Needed Include:
Family Gatherings professional offices service clubs/events
Church organizing/building restaurants/motels holiday celebrations
Business starts military photos significant moments
Sub division development civic organizations/events park/rec activities
There are two ways that you can get your photos to us.
1. You can bring them to the Germantown Historical Society Wolf Haus , W18780 Holy Hill Rd) on any Wednesday or Thursday from 1-4pm.
2. You can call Allied Digital Photo (N112 W16296 Mequon Rd in Germantown Market Place 262-251-8805) and make an appointment with Francie.
