Germantown YPAF's lively night of bingo includes more than $1,000 in cash prizes
The Youth Performing Arts Foundation of Germantown and the Bob Kames Foundation present an entertaining evening of regular and progressive bingo on Tuesday, March 30, with doors opening at 5:45 p.m. and bingo beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Billed as “not your grandmother’s bingo,” this 21-game, action-packed event features music from Germantown High School’s Jazz Band and Tri-M Ensemble, more than $1,000 in cash prizes during the regular bingo sessions, plus a progressive bingo finale with a possible jackpot of $2,500.
“The Bob Kames Bingo Road Show takes the game to greater heights,” said Jonathan Bell, Germantown High School band director and YPAF member. “They use video projectors, along with a light and sound system, that make the event exceptionally exciting. It will be a very fun night for a truly important community cause.”
The event will include two bingo sessions of 10 games each before capping the evening with a round of progressive bingo. Participants can play one game for $1 or all 10 for $8. Each bingo game card has three grids or “faces.” Ten-packs with six and nine faces are available for $12 and $17 respectively. Bingo is open to anyone 18 years of age or older; however, students younger than 18 can play if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
YPAF, a grass roots organization, supports and promotes performing arts throughout the Germantown School District and community, with the ultimate goal of building a performing arts center in the village. The organization is also assisting the Kiwanis in their quest to build a band shell in Germantown. Visit YPAF’s Web site at www.ypaf.org for more information.
