Triathlon A Success!
Over 300 individuals competed in the “Under the Influence of...Adrenaline” Triathlon benefiting the Council on Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse of Washington County on August 29, 2009! Participants came from all over the country including Florida, California and New Jersey but over one third came from right here in Washington County. This event assisted in raising funds to support the prevention and intervention services of the Council.
We would like to thank the following businesses for their support: West Bend Mutual, Meadow Creek Elk Farm, Hartford Savings Bank, MidCities Motor Sports, Community Memorial Hospital, Bill Meyers Photography, Pedal Moraine Cycle and Fitness, Expedition Supply, Woodridge Chiropractic, West Bend Piggly Wiggly, Kewaskum Piggly Wiggly, Costco, Wal-Mart, Panera Bread, McDonald's, Hammer Nutrition and Road ID.
This type of event could also not be put on without the help of numerous volunteers! We would like to thank the over 100 volunteers who braved the cold, cheered on the participants and helped to ensure they had a safe and fun experience.
A special thank you to Washington County Planning and Parks Department for allowing us to use Ackerman’s Grove County Park and to the residents that live near the park for their willingness to share Little Cedar Lake and the roads around the park with our racers. We received many compliments on the setting for this event!
Finally, thank you to the individuals and teams who participated in the event. We look forward to seeing you again in 2010!
