Annual Buddy Poppy Drive
Germantown Memorial Post 9202 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and its Ladies Auxiliary would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the following businesses Hansen Piggly Wiggly, Pick N’ Save, Speedway, Wal-Mart and the citizens of the Village of Germantown and the surrounding communities who helped to make this years’ Buddy Poppy Drive such a resounding success. The generosity and support of the residents of Germantown and the surrounding communities is truly awesome. The funds that were donated are put into a Special Relief Fund. This fund can only be used to help veterans, or a family member of a veteran in our community. Unlike many charities, there are no administrative costs taken from these donations. Portions of this fund are donated to the Veterans Administration Medical Center Zablocki, Union Grove, the state veteran’s home at King, the Veterans Administration Medical Center Tomah in support of the programs that they have for hospitalized veterans.
