Seventeen-year-old Germantown resident performs in First Stage’s PINKALICIOUS THE MUSICAL
Anna Riesterer, 17, of Germantown, appears in First Stage’s PINKALICIOUS THE MUSICAL, a fun-loving musical based on the popular book of the same name by Victoria Kann and Elizabeth Kann, playing at the Todd Wehr Theater at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts through March 27.
Anna has been involved with theater her whole life. She has been involved with First Stage for nearly seven years. She began taking acting classes and later auditioned for shows. Her most recent First Stage appearance was in PETER PAN AND WENDY and she has also acted with the Imagination Theater of Germantown and Menomonee Falls Patio Players.
“My favorite part of performing is being able to forget about the real world for a while and drift into a musical world,” Anna said. “I have learned through acting and First Stage that it takes hard work and dedication to become a great actress – the hours of rehearsing and perfecting things is always worth it.”
Anna’s favorite thing about First Stage is the people. “They are some of the best people I know. The best part of being in the show is the cast I get to work with every day. Even though I am the oldest kid in the cast, there is something refreshing about being with kids younger than me,” she shared. “I love what I do and I love being a part of this show!”
“Our production creates a playful world of excessive pink, magical transformations and dancing cupcakes,” said First Stage Associate Artistic Director John Maclay, the director of this colorful musical adventure. “Our talented actors, designers and professional shops all played a part in bringing Pinkalicious, her world, her family, her friends, and several dancing cupcakes to life here at First Stage,” he continued.
