Nordness earns all-region honors

Kylie Nordness of Menomonee Falls, a senior at Divine Savior Holy Angels, was recently selected for the 2009 National Soccer Coaches Association of America/Adidas High School Girls All-Region Soccer Team (Region V Midwest). She is one of two girls from Wisconsin selected for the honor.

Nordness, who helped DSHA win the last two WIAA State Division I championships, has verbally committed to DePaul University on a full soccer scholarship for 2010. She was named first-team all-state as a midfielder last spring as well as earning Greater Metro Conference Player of the Year honors.

Menomonee Falls Little League sets sign-up dates

The Menomonee Falls Little League will have a sign-up for the 2010 season from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 9 at North Middle School, W16750 Garfield Dr.

This is the second of three sign-up sessions. The last one will be held from 7-9 p.m. Jan. 19, also at North.

Cash, checks and credit cards will be accepted. The fee is $140 for one child and is reduced for additional children.

T-ball starts at age 4 and children must reach that age by April 30 to participate.
