Warhawks sons join fathers as all-conference

Kicker Eric Kindler and defensive tackle Eric Brown earned first-team All-North Shore Conference for the Germantown football team this fall and in doing so, joined their fathers, Reinhard Kindler and Bob Brown in earning the honor. Both sets of fathers and sons will be honored on the Germantown football all-conference wall of honor.

Gottschlich earns WIAC Player of the Year honors in soccer

Germantown graduate B.J. Gottschlich, a junior forward for the UW-Platteville men's soccer team, earned WIAC first-team all-conference Player of the Year honors for his efforts this fall.

Gottschlich, who hails from Colgate, led the Pioneers with 11 goals and 10 assists in leading them to a 9-8-3 overall record and 2-0-2 mark in league play. Gottschlich ranks ninth in Pioneer soccer history with 21 assists. He is also 10th in goals with 28 and total points (77). Nine of his goals have been game-winners.

Luther earns all-league honors for Bowling Green

Germantown graduate Shari Luther recently earned first-team All-Mid-American Conference honors for her play with the Bowling Green women's volleyball team this fall.

Luther led the league in attack percentage (.364) and led the Falcons in kills, blocks and total points. She has 322 kills on the year an average of 2.68 per game and 97 blocks. She has twice been named MAC East Division Player of the Week this season.

Junior Indians football team successful in can drive

The Menomonee Falls Junior Indians Football sixth-grade maroon team went undefeated this year, 7-0, and also succeeded in helping out the Falls Food Pantry.

The team decided to collect one item of food for the pantry for every point they scored this season. By the end of the fall, the team had scored 229 points and had collected more than 250 items of food.

The team was coached by Russ Antrim, Mike Emmer, Jim Jeskewitz, Ralph Kornburger and Dave Weber.

Junior Indians basketball team wins tournament

The Menomonee Falls Junior Indians sixth-grade basketball team started the season off with a first place finish in the New Berlin West Vikings Tournament.

The tournament included teams from Kettle Moraine, Pewaukee, Brookfield Central, New Berlin West, Brown Deer, Cedarburg and Germantown (which they beat in the championship game).

Team members include Jerin Frey, Joey Olson, Matt Emmer, Myles Luckett, Nick Weyenberg, Ty Weber, Collin Hartmann, Juwan McCloud, Bryce McMurtry and Javante McCoy.

The team is coached by Andre McMurtry, Tony McCoy and Dave Weber.

The Junior Indians Basketball Program enters its ninth year of competitive basketball with more than 120 players and is highly integrated with the Menomonee Falls school basketball programs. The Junior Indians Basketball teams compete with other Southeastern Wisconsin basketball teams.
