Falls Jr. Indians registration set for Nov. 2

The Falls Jr. Indians Wrestling club will hold a registration and information session from 6 to 8 p.m. Nov. 2 in the Menomonee Falls High School cafeteria.

The Falls Jr. Indians club is open to youth in K-8 grades. Novice and experienced wrestlers are welcome. The club seeks to introduce young wrestlers to the sport as well as prepare more experienced wrestlers for participation at the high school level. The program is designed to instruct the fundamentals of wrestling, provide competition, teach good sportsmanship and, most importantly, have fun.

Arata playing well for UW-River Falls football

Former Menomonee Falls football standout Ben Arata played well for the University of Wisconsin-River Falls in the Falcons' recent 31-29 loss at UW-Oshkosh.

Arata, a 5-foot-11-inch, 195 pound senior, had four solo and five total tackles. He also broke up one pass. This year Arata is eighth on the team in tackles with 12 solo and 22 total stops. He leads the team with five pass break ups. He has blocked an extra point and has one tackle for loss. He has one interception that he returned 99 yards for a touchdown against Alma.

Suetholz takes second in soccer contest

Rebecca Riley of Lake Mills took first and Emily Suetholz of Menomonee Falls took second in the Knights of Columbus State Soccer contest for 13-year-old girls. The contest was held in Marshfield on Oct. 18.
