Youth boys basketball team wins Ozaukee Tournament
The fourth-grade Germantown Hawks basketball team took first at the recent Ozaukee Tournament.
The Hawks beat Cedarburg and Sheboygan Falls to make the playoffs, beat Grafton to make the championship game, and beat Beaver Dam in the tournament final.
Team players were Kyle Clow, Bryce Thomas, Jake Wilson, Connor Stoming, Ethan Meyer, Bennett Campbell, Alec Sanabria, Jake Woloszyk, Zach Thiel and Justin Martin.
Team coaches were Craig Thomas, Kelly Thiel and Joe Meyer.
Nagawaukee golf league looking for players
The Nagawaukee Tuesday Women's 18 Hole Golf League is looking for new members and/or subs for the 2009 season.
Play starts at 6:30 to 8 a.m. every Tuesday (weather permitting) from the first week of May to the second Tuesday in September.

Falls Woosencraft wins shot put at USTF meet
Retired Menomonee Falls High School principal Richard P. Woosencraft won the shot put in the United States Track and Field Midwest Indoor Masters at Carthage College in Kenosha on March 8.
Woosencraft, who was competing in the 60-64 age group, had the best throw overall of all age groups with a distance of 38 feet-5 inches.
