Police Report: Oct. 8

THEFT

1Twelve propane tanks were reported stolen at Metals USA, N115 W18945 Edison Drive, at 1:55 p.m. Oct. 3. The theft apparently took place between Sept. 30 and Oct. 1.

2Two unknown suspects shoplifted merchandise at Fleet Farm, N96 W18200 County Line Road, then fled the parking lot in a gray Jeep Cherokee at 4:15 p.m. Oct. 1. The suspects, a male and female, were last seen heading eastbound on County Line Road.

3A "For Rent" sign was stolen from a yard in the N116 W15000 block of Brownstone Court before 5:25 p.m. Oct. 1. Police are following up with a possible suspect.

1A 32-year-old man was arrested after he attempted to write a bad check from a closed account at Kwik Trip, W188 N10963 Maple Road, at 8:50 a.m. Oct. 2.

5A woman's wallet was stolen out of her purse while she was shopping at Walmart, W190 N9855 Appleton Ave., before 5 p.m. Oct. 4.

6A 35-year-old woman was arrested for shoplifting at Walmart, W190 N9855 Appleton Ave., shortly before 5 p.m. Oct. 5.

7An cellphone was stolen from a woman attending a school function at the MacArthur Elementary School library, W154 N11492 Fond du Lac Ave., between 6:45 and 7:15 p.m. Oct. 5.

DRUG POSSESSION

8A 19-year-old man and his passenger, a 29-year-old man, were arrested for possession of marijuana during a traffic stop on Riversbend Lane and County Line Road at 11:20 p.m. Oct. 5. The passenger was also taken into custody for an outstanding warrant through the Slinger Police Department.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

9A 40-year-old woman was arrested for drunken driving after she struck a parked vehicle while backing out of a parking space at Ivee's, W157 N11628 Fond du Lac Ave., at 7:15 p.m. Oct. 5. Her preliminary blood alcohol content was unavailable.

ACCIDENTS

10A 28-year-old New Berlin woman was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries after she struck another vehicle while making a U-turn at the intersection of Maple and Freistadt roads at 11:10 a.m. Sept. 29. The other driver was uninjured. The New Berlin woman was cited for failure to yield the right of way while making a U-turn.

OTHER

11An unknown juvenile went to set off stink bombs inside TJ Maxx, N96 W19000 County Line Road, shortly after 5:30 p.m. Oct. 2. The suspect, described as a 16-year-old male wearing a blue and white hooded sweat shirt, went into Aldi's and did the same thing. Police recovered an opened "Fart Bomb" package inside TJ Maxx, but did not locate the suspect.

12A resident in the W154 N11600 block of Daniels Drive reported finding a bag containing dog feces in his driveway at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 3, after he placed a sign in his yard requesting the dog owner to pick up after the dog. The resident told police the unknown owner also lets their dog defecate in the street, which has been an ongoing problem.

13Officers picked up a five-gallon bucket containing four kittens that was left on a driveway in the W204 N11900 block of Goldendale Road at 8:45 a.m. Oct. 4. The kittens were turned over to the Humane Society.

Germantown police assisted the Germantown Fire Department with eight rescue calls between Sept. 30 and Oct. 5.
