1The driver of a white Chevy four-door car left without paying for an undisclosed amount of gas at Kwik Trip, W188 N10963 Maple Road, at 11:24 a.m. Dec. 20.
2A 24-year-old woman was arrested for shoplifting after she left without paying for a cart full of merchandise at Walmart, W190 N9855 Appleton Ave., at 4:41 a.m. Dec. 21. Officers discovered the woman also had a valid warrant through the Menomonee Falls Police Department and she was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail.
1A loss prevention specialist at Walmart called police after an unknown man left the store with a cart full of unpaid merchandise shortly after 6 p.m. Dec. 21. The subject discarded the cart and merchandise in the parking lot after he was spotted by an employee and was last seen walking toward Menards. Officers were unable to locate the man and all the merchandise was recovered.
4A 19-year-old man was arrested for shoplifting after he was seen concealing merchandise at Walmart, W190 N9855 Appleton Ave., at 7:35 p.m. Dec. 21.
5A 50-year-old woman reported her wallet was stolen from her purse while she was shopping at Walmart, W190 N9855 Appleton Ave., shortly before 1 p.m. Dec. 22.
6A resident in the N114 W15500 block of Sylvan Circle reported he was a victim of a computer/Internet scam at 1:34 p.m. Dec. 22. The resident stated he was scammed after he received a prompt on his computer stating he had to pay a fine of $300 to the FBI by using a Green Dot MoneyPak or face criminal charges.
7An 18-year-old man was knocked down by a 19-year-old man during an altercation at Walmart, W190 N9855 Appleton Ave., at 12:15 a.m. Dec. 19. Police are following up with the suspect.
8A 41-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving, third offense, and operating after revocation, second offense, after a passer-by reported a car in the ditch in the median on North U.S. Highway 41 and County Line Road at 3:30 a.m. Dec. 21. His blood alcohol content was unavailable.
9A 33-year-old Germantown man was transported to the hospital with minor injuries after he swerved off the road to avoid striking a deer and collided with trees and bushes in the ditch on Fond du Lac Avenue and Mequon Road shortly after 3 a.m. Dec. 7. He was cited for failure to have control of his vehicle.
10An 18-year-old Jackson woman was transported to the hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries after her car left the roadway, spun 180 degrees clockwise then struck a tree while traveling westbound on Bonniwell Road near Division Road at 11:02 p.m. Dec. 8. She was cited for failure to have control of a vehicle.
11A 15-year-old Milwaukee girl was transported to the hospital after the car she was riding in swerved off the roadway onto private property, struck a ditch and overturned in the W172 N9700 block of Division Road at 9:20 p.m. Dec. 14. The driver of the vehicle, a 17-year-old Germantown boy, was cited for speeding/driving too fast for conditions and a probationary license restriction violation.
Germantown police responded to and/or assisted 25 vehicles stuck in ditches between Dec. 18 and Dec. 20.
12An unknown person(s) damaged the locked door on a propane tank cage during an apparent theft attempt at Nelson Container, W180 N11921 River Lane, between 5:30 p.m. Dec. 16 and 4 a.m. Dec. 17.
13An unknown subject(s) threw paint on the window of a car parked in the W160 N10900 block of Meadow Drive between 11:30 p.m. Dec. 16 and 7:30 a.m. Dec. 17. The resident was able to wash the paint off her vehicle. An extra patrol was requested in the area.
14At 10:20 a.m. Dec. 17, an employee of the Germantown Water Department reported an unknown driver struck a fire hydrant on Montgomery Drive and Mequon Road. It was unknown when the hit and run occurred.
15A passer-by called police to report a mannequin in a Chicago Bears jersey was hanging upside-down from the railroad crossing at Freistadt Road and Fond du Lac Avenue at 1:13 p.m. Dec. 17. The mannequin was removed and disposed of.
A resident called police at 1 p.m. Dec. 18 to report a subject in Morocco has a video of him showering and is blackmailing him for the video. The resident was uncooperative when asked by an officer how the subject got the video and was directed to the Milwaukee Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
16An employee at Financial Control Solutions, N114 W19225 Clinton Drive, called police at 5:35 p.m. Dec. 18 after a man called him five times in one day, and in one call stated, "I'm going to get you." The employee gave officers the name of a possible suspect and said he would call back if the threatening calls continued.
17An employee reported an unknown man just attempted to pass a counterfeit $100 bill at Fleet Farm, N96 W18200 County Line Road, and left the store in a Chevy Blazer at 12:50 p.m. Dec. 19. The license plate number of the vehicle was traced to a resident on Green Tree Road in Milwaukee and police are following up.
18An off-duty Lannon police officer reported seeing an unknown male slumped over the wheel of a black Monte Carlo in the parking lot at the Corner Stone Center, W182 N9606 Appleton Ave., at 1:25 p.m. Dec. 19. The driver, a 23-year-old man, was taken into custody for having two outstanding warrants with the New Berlin Police Department.
19Firefighters and police responded to a report of a tree on fire in the back yard of a residence in the N118 W20294 Creek View Lane at 12:18 a.m. Dec. 21. A downed power line apparently started the tree on fire. The fire was extinguished We Energies also responded to the scene.
20Police responded to a garage fire in the N106 W16100 block of Old Farm Road at 1:06 p.m. Dec. 21. The garage was fully engulfed when firefighters arrived. The cause of the fire and total damage estimates were unavailable at the time of the report.
21Police received a report of a grease fire in the kitchen of Panda Express, N96 W17698 County Line Road, at 12:46 p.m. Dec. 22. The fire was put out by a fire extinguisher and the store's sprinkler system before officer's arrival. There was no damage to the building, but the restaurant was closed for the rest of the day for cleanup.
Germantown police assisted with 14 rescue calls and three fire calls between Dec. 17 and Dec. 22.
