How do you propose to keep taxes down?

No more village-funded tax-incremental financing districts. Support a developer-funded TIF, eliminating risk to taxpayers while still attracting businesses. More businesses paying taxes reduces the burden on homeowners. I also will be aggressive in spending cuts on all levels.

How do you propose to grow the local economy, in regard to areas like the Germantown Business Park?

Recently, marketing has been very successful in the business park. I worry about the strip malls and mom-and-pop shops that are struggling in this economy. Village officials must be better listeners to their needs. It is time we allow business input in the early stages of new proposals and ordinances.

How do you propose to address the issue of roads and other infrastructure needs in the village?

There was a time when money was set aside in every budget for roads. We have to restore this practice and get even more serious about cutting cost. The new Public Works parking lot did not need curb and gutter.
