Police Report: May 13

THEFT

· A resident in the W188 N12300 block of Maple Road reported outgoing mail containing personal checks was stolen from his unlocked truck at 3:35 p.m. May 5.

· A 50-year-old man and a woman were arrested for shoplifting after they were seen stealing merchandise and then attempted to return the items for cash at the service desk at Fleet Farm, N96 W18200 County Line Road, at about 2 p.m. May 7.

· A 25-year-old man was arrested for stealing his mother's rings and earrings from a residence in the W214 N10400 block of Oak Lane at 8:10 p.m. May 7.

· An unknown female shoplifted a tub full of merchandise at Walmart, W190 N9855 Appleton Ave., and then left the parking lot in a black Oldsmobile at about 12:20 a.m. May 8.

· A 25-year-old man was arrested for shoplifting after he was seen concealing Blu-ray DVDs in his pants at Walmart, W190 N9855 Appleton Ave., at 6:30 p.m. May 8.

· A man was arrested for shoplifting after he was seen concealing merchandise at Fleet Farm, N96 W18200 County Line Road, at 2:45 p.m. May 9.

OTHER

· A resident called police to report his daughter's ex-boyfriend threatened to burn down his house and was making death threats at 10:45 p.m. May 5. Police are following up with the suspect.

· A student was cited for disorderly conduct after swearing at a teacher at Germantown High School, W180 N11501 River Lane, at 7:40 a.m. May 6.

· A resident was warned by police after her white pitbull and a black and brown pinscher-type dog were seen running loose in backyards and a nearby park in the N101 W15800 block of Santa Fe Drive at 6:30 p.m. May 7. The resident told police her dogs know how to open the doors and get out of the house and that she cannot control them.

· A female student was arrested for disorderly conduct when she slapped another student three times after being hit with a tennis ball during gym class at Germantown High School, W180 N11501 River Lane, at 10:35 a.m. May 8.

· A juvenile was arrested for fraud/theft after he admitted finding a woman's debit card and using it to fraudulently purchase music from iTunes at 12:15 p.m. May 8.

· The school resource officer reported someone turned in a pipe and marijuana they found in a sock under a tree at Germantown High School, W180 N11501 River Lane, at 3:20 p.m. May 9.

· A male driver was pulled over and warned by police after he was seen texting with both hands and swerving out of his lane of traffic while driving on U.S. Highway 41 and County Line Road at 3:45 p.m. May 10.

· A resident called police to report a duckling fell into a sewer near the pond behind Pick 'n Save on Sylvan Circle and Squire Drive at 6:55 p.m. May 11. The duckling was removed from the sewer and reunited with ducks that were waiting near the scene.

· Germantown police responded to two domestic violence calls and assisted with 11 rescue calls and four fire calls between May 5 and May 12.
