Germantown — School district officials are planning to balance a projected $475,000 deficit for next school year by cutting 2.5 full-time equivalent teachers and some capital purchases, reducing aide time and restructuring some secretarial and supervisory positions.

A 38-year-old Germantown woman was charged Tuesday with first-degree reckless homicide in the Dec. 21 prescription drug overdose death of Kati Lynn Hammen of Fredonia, Ozaukee County Sheriff Maury Straub said.
