Catherine Wettstein and Jeremy Franke of Germantown were married July 28, 2012, St. Mary Church in Menomonee Falls.
Parents of the bride are Debbie and Tim Schlieder of Germantown and Paul Wettstein of Jackson. The groom's parents are Amy and Jeff Franke of Hubertus.
Deacon Tom Monday officiated the 1 p.m. ceremony, which was followed by a reception at Chandelier Ballroom in Hartford.
The bride wore a candlelight strapless gown with a sweetheart neckline and re-embroidered lace with pearls, rhinestones and bugle beads on the bodice, bottom and train. She carried a bouquet of white and lavender roses, white and Picasso calla lilies, and stefanotis with crystal accents.
Lindsay Lauters of West Bend, friend of the bride, was matron of honor, and Rebecca Schlieder of Germantown, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Lynn Plautz of Waukesha, Heather Singer of Menomonee Falls and Michelle Thode of Germantown.
Ray Fuiten of Green Bay, friend of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were Josh Franke of Hubertus, Chad Magill of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Ricky Krause of Tampa, Fla., and Bobby Barnett of Germantown.
Ushers were Jim Wettstein and Matt Perszyk.
Olivia Schlieder and Jack Schlieder of West Bend, niece and nephew of the bride, were flower girl and ring bearer.
The bride, a 2003 graduate of Germantown High School, earned her bachelor's degree in education in 2007 from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. She is a fifth-grade teacher at Christ King School in Wauwatosa.
The groom, also a 2003 graduate of Germantown High School, earned his associate degree in fire safety in 2006 from Milwaukee Area Technical College. He is a captain with the Germantown Fire Department.
The couple honeymooned in Lancaster, Penn., and the mountains in Scranton, Penn.
The two met in September 1999 at GHS, where they both were freshman. They became high school sweethearts and were engaged Oct. 21, 2011.
