It doesn't matter whether you just moved into Germantown or whether you're a lifetime resident, here's your guide to just about everything you need to know about living in the village.
How do I change the address on my driver's license?
You can do this over the phone, through the mail or in person at the nearest state Department of Motor Vehicle location. The nearest DMV office is located at 1516 W. Paradise Drive in West Bend. If you'd rather do it via the mail or phone, you can get the details at the DMV's web site.
How do I change my address with the Postal Service?
You can do this in person at the Waukesha Post Office, 156 N11301 Pilgrim Road, or you can do it online at the Postal Service's web site.
How do I register children for school?
For parents with children in kindergarten through fifth grade, registration during the school year takes place at the school at which their children will be attending. In the summer, elementary school registration takes place at the district office, N104 W13840 Donges Bay Road. Parents with children who will be attending Kennedy Middle school or Germantown High school can register at the school throughout the entire year. Visit the district's web site for more information about the registration process or call (262) 253-3900.
When is the trash picked up?

Where is Village Hall? What are the hours?
Germantown Village Hall is located at N112 W17001 Mequon Road. It's open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.
Who are my local elected officials? How can I reach them?
Germantown is led by an elected part-time village president. The Village Board consists of eight trustees, with two elected from each of four districts. A full-time village administrator oversees the day-to-day operations of the village. The current village president is Tom Kempinski and the village administrator is David Schornack. How do I register to vote? Where do I vote?
You can register to vote at the Village Hall prior to election day, or you can register at the polling place on the day of the election, provided you have proper identification.
