A message from the 2010 Salutatorian

This message was provided to the Class of 2010 at their graduation ceremony.

Dear St. Mary Community,

Can you believe that we are already graduating? In just a few months, we will begin a new journey and start high school. We have had countless wonderful memories at St. Mary, and have learned many values that will stay with us our entire lives. We are ready to go our separate ways and begin a new chapter in our lives.

I would like to thank my parents for deciding to send me to St. Mary. Also a thank you to Mrs. Joyner and the entire staff, for guiding us not only to grow academically, but also to grow in our faith. The values and lessons we have learned will remain with us a lifetime. A special thank you to Mrs. McKean. When I came to St. Mary in first grade I did not speak English, Mrs. McKean believed in me and never gave up. Without Mrs. McKean, I would not be where I am today. Thank you to Fr. Greg for guiding us spiritually. Lastly, I would like to thank my classmates. We have been together for many years and have many magnificent memories, such as Grismer World Tours, our First Eucharist, Reconciliation, Dare, our Washington DC trip, and the excellent musicals directed by Mrs. Makal. Soon we will be going our separate paths, and I hope that we will keep in touch.

Congratulations to my fellow graduates. I am extremely proud of everyone and confident that you are well prepared for high school. You are intelligent individuals, and I am sure that you will succeed in whatever you pursue. Throughout the years at St. Mary, we have learned how to make moral choices and live Jesus as we serve others. I wish all of you the best and hope to see each of you again.

Yours Faithfully,

Miruna B
