Do We Really Need Government Meddling In Bowl Games?
A squib in the morning Journal Sentinel mentioned that the Justice Department says it will review the legality of the Bowl Championship Series. President Obama mentioned, prior to being sworn in, that he “might throw my weight around a little bit” since he favors a college play-off system to the present system.
Doesn’t it seem we might have more weighty matters that could use some attention?
CBO Director Doesn’t Mince Words
The CBO Director testified before Congress and his CBO Blog gives us insight into the CBO’s take on the economy. It isn’t pretty in spite of what our politicians would have us believe going into the fall elections this year.
Do We Elect Or Do We Un-Elect?
It seems that we “throw the bums out” instead of voting for what we believe will be better…or is it really one and the same?
Are we simply reacting to the political party doing something different than it said it would? In the case of Obama, he ran clearly on a message of “hope and change” that the majority of voters identified with last November. Has he so shifted the direction from campaign mode to governing mode that public opinion is tanking?
Or, was the public thinking it would get one thing while he was thinking of giving them something other than what he talked about on the campaign trail? There appears to have been a dis-connect someplace in this equation.
Has the Administration Reversed Field On Terrorist Trials?

Will it seize on this opportunity to revert to trials in a military tribunal setting or is this charade simply going to be moved to Virginia or D.C.?
Any civil court venue stateside will be potentially problematic beyond the simple discussion of affordability. It will be a magnet drawing terrorists like bugs to the light.
