Germantown Police Department Serves Drug Search Warrant...

A search warrant was served yesterday at an Abbey Court address that resulted in an arrest and discovery of drugs, paraphernalia and evidence of other criminal activity, the nature of which couldn't be disclosed at this time.  The District Attorney will make the charging decisions.

Chief Pete Hoell made it clear that this was a joint effort involving the Washington County Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Unit (including a Germantown drug officer who performed the initial investigation), the Germantown Emergency Response Team, Police Officers Bosco and Jeff Schnell, and members of the Patrol Division.

The "driving force" according to Chief Hoell was citizen involvement.  I'm told that Germantown residents were suspicious and had originally alerted the Police Department to their suspicions.

Cambridge Major Dedication Announced...

Cambridge Majors CEO Michael Majors announced that the new addition to their facility will be dedicated on July 30th.  This marks the ability of this organization to become an even bigger player in its industry on a world wide scope and bodes well for the economy of the Germantown area.

Hargen To Run...

While he cannot formally become a candidate for the Village President's position until December 1st of this year, Charlie Hargen has confirmed that he will definitely be a candidate for the position he lost in the last election to current President Tom Kempinski.  He was quoted in a recent Express News article.

This had long been rumored and has finally become fact.
