The 4th of July parade is an event that everyone looks forward to. Here is an update on this event and what you can expect thanks to the many volunteers who make this happen.
There is still time to sponsor, participate or volunteer in the parade through June 20th. You can contact the Kiwanis hotline at 262-424-4457.
The parade starts at noon by the Walgreen's at Mequon and Pilgrim roads and ends at Fireman's Park where you can spend the rest of the day enjoying food, music and fun until the fireworks start. Fireworks begin at dusk!
Please bring non-perishable food to the parade for Pantry Pusher carts that will be in the parade to collect for the St. Boniface food pantry.
Parents - please make sure to watch your children during the parade so they do not run into the street to get candy - parade participants have been instructed to not throw candy but to hand it to the children. Please keep children safe on the parade route.
Every year the 4th of July is a year-long undertaking that has been managed by the Germantown Kiwanis club with generous support from area organizations and businesses in our community as well as many volunteers who work from dawn to dusk and give-up their 4th of July to make the day special for all of us. Remember to thank those volunteers when you see them throughout the day.
Volunteers are still needed! Please call 262-424-4457 to volunteer. Have a safe and happy 4th!
