Some Changes Voted...
The voters have spoken and it appears that many wanted change. New faces coming to the Village Board include Terri Kaminski in District 1 and Daniel Wing in District 2. Al Vanderheiden held his seat in District 3 and Art Zabel was unopposed.
The School Board will have a new face in Kim Fischer who is a professional educator. Ted Bowe was voted in for another term.
We have a new Mid-Moraine Municipal Court Judge in Steve Cain who unseated John Grundahl. The powers in the state prevailed with Abrahamson holding her seat on the State Supreme Court and with Tony Evers moving up to State Superintendent from the deputy's role he now holds.
We owe a vote of thanks to all those who have served and to those who chose to participate in this election. These positions pay relatively little, take much time and often carry a lot of angst for the office holders. Most of us sit on the sidelines; some of us vote; nearly all of us seem to think we know better :-))
Citizen Police Academy Class Forming...
The Germantown Police Department is forming the next class for the Citizen Police Academy. I am a fan of this program and managed to graduate as a member of the most recent class. If you have an interest, I think you'd be very happy with your investment of time.
