Village Buzz - March 16th...
The Village Buzz of March 13th indicated that any responses from any of those involved would be included in an upcoming blog. I have received a response from Jim Langer and that follows:

Jim Langer writes:
"I feel the need to respond briefly to the accusations made in the newspaper today [3/13/09*] about my reporting of the financial statements of President Thomas Kempinski during his bid for office in 2007. The changes that were made after the FINAL filing by myself were unknown to me. Also, if I am not told about checks received or checks written, how can I report them? I had no access to either the checking account statements or to the checkbook. After reviewing Mr. Kempinski's finance papers in April 2008, I noticed numerous changes to them that I had no knowledge of, therefore I resigned as his treasurer on that date which was April 10, 2008. I refuse to be the scapegoat for Tom Kempinski."
