Easter Reflections
I made a conscious decision to avoid my computer and the Internet for the entire Easter week-end. It seemed strange to not be listening for the new e-mail beep or casting a quick glance at the mailbox, or to be thinking of a Blog topic. My decision was more that of being burned out than simply believing I should be more focused over this particular week-end. It did, however, help me to better-focus on what Easter is all about according to my personal beliefs.

Two Washington County Supervisors were excluded from a closed session of the Washington County Executive Committee on March 24, 2009 by Chairman Herb Tennies. The Supervisors were Bill Meyers and Don Bercham. Meyers says that he told the Chairman that he had a right to attend since he was a Supervisor; Tennies apparently said that his rule was to the contrary and advised the Supervisors they were to leave the room.

Tempted To Tune Out?
We live in a society where the 24-hour news cycle is coupled with the Internet and the accompanying social tools that have become so popular. We live in a society where individual interaction sometimes virtually disappears in favor of the less-personal e-mail or ‘tweet’. We’ve probably all heard the stories about co-workers separated by a four-foot panel not speaking to one and other, but using e-mails instead.
