Newsmax Poll Results

U.S., Political, Quality of Life

An interesting online poll by Newsmax caught my eye late last week.  The results are posted below:

Do you support the full repeal of President Obama’s healthcare plan Congress passed in 2010?

Yes, repeal it completely:                                           64% (1,175,461)

No, don’t repeal it at all:                                            22% (413,251)

No, repeal just parts of it:                                           12% (221,064)

Should Congress restore $500 billion in Medicare benefits for seniors that the Obama plan cut?

Yes, restore the Medicare benefits:                           80% (1,437,509)

No, don’t restore the Medicare benefits:                   19% (348,126)

Do you support President Obama’s desire to give 12 million illegal aliens amnesty and a path to citizenship?

Yes, I support Obama’s amnesty plan:                       24% (434,194)

No, I oppose it:                                                              75% (1,366,233)

What do you believe Congress’ top priority should be in 2012?

Cutting spending:                                                        47% (843,628)

Cutting Taxes:                                                                8% (153,981)

Paying down the national debt:                                  21% (390,515

Improving the nation’s security:                                    6% (123,823)

Creating jobs:                                                              15% (273,750)

Do you plan on voting to re-elect President Obama in 2012?

Yes, re-elect:                                                               28% (521,352)

No, for another candidate:                                         65% (1,191,061)

Not sure right now:                                                        6% (109,622)

I can only hope it will be so, but I suspect the results were tilted by Republicans who view Newsmax more often than Democrats.  We’ll know the results before too much longer even though it will seem like years before we see November’s elections.
