WHAT A RUN!!!
The Wisconsin Boys Division 1 High School Basketball Title resides in Germantown and most deservedly so!
This team has compiled a tremendous record as recounted in the Journal Sentinel this morning:
# 91-12 in four years for a .883 winning total
# 70-9 in the past three years for a .886 winning total
# Average points by which they won this season: 31.1
# 28-0 this year for a 1.000 winning total
Milwaukee King put up a heck of a fight but they were not to prevail against the determination, pure guts and athleticism of this team. This team knew its destiny this year and, after the last season ended without the state title, it was absolutely determined to win it this year.
The coaching staff, the players, the players' parents and the student body all share in this wonderful achievement as does the community.
You made us proud guys!

I received an e-mail from Superintendent Sue Borden telling me that not only is this a really great team, they are all excellent scholars with the full starting five headed for college. Each is taking college level courses as well as finding time to practice!
