Hard-Working Congress
We all know, or at least we should know because we’ve been reminded over and over again, that we have a very hard-working Congress. We know that they sometimes work so hard that they have to pass laws in the middle of the night. Now that is hard-working if I’ve ever heard about it. At least you and I get to sleep once in awhile. We don’t have to go on junkets or attend party after party to raise more money with which to gather votes. We aren’t expected to travel overseas to gain knowledge with which to run the country.
Bank Take-Overs
We have changed banks again for the fourth time in not-too-many years. It is not due to lack of good service or competitive offerings. It is due to the seemingly constant shuffle of owners.
Too Big To Work?
We have heard the phrase, “too big to fail” and for many, many months. That has me wondering if there is another phrase that ought to become just as familiar to us.
Morning After Pill
If there were a morning after pill that Presidents could take following a speech that drew negative comments from both liberal and conservative pundits, President Obama would be picking up the glass of water and the pill this morning. He might even take two of those magic pills just to be sure he ridded himself of the stigma.
